Making your bed every morning. Putting your keys away in the same place. Eating sweets every day during the 3pm lull. Habits – good and bad – shape our lives, whether we’re conscious of them or not. And their power is real, according to “The Power of Habit” author Charles Duhigg.
Habits never really disappear because they’re encoded in our brains. According to Duhigg, habits can also become encoded in organizations. There’s a certain type – the keystone habit – that unlocks a domino effect of positive habits, which is the key to both individual and organizational success.
